Delete Your Account
App: TheDouble -- developed by Wojciech Rokosz
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time. Deletion is irreversible.
Option 1: Delete in the app (recommended)
Follow these exact steps inside the TheDouble app:
- Open the app and tap the person icon in the top-right corner of the chats list.
- On the Account screen, open Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- A confirmation dialog will appear. Type DELETE (all caps) in the text field.
- Tap the red Delete button to confirm.
Your account will be deleted immediately and you will be signed out. All data is permanently purged within 30 days.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, send an email from the address associated with the registered phone number's owner to:
Use the subject line: Delete my account
Include in the body: your registered phone number (with country code).
We will process your request within 30 days and confirm by email when done.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently erased within 30 days:
- Your AI Double and all its learned memories and insights.
- What other users' Doubles learned from conversations with your Double (removed automatically with your account).
- All messages in your Double's conversation history and media you sent in chats.
- Your profile (phone number, name, consents) and declared relationships.
- Your contact list data that you granted the app access to.
- Your push notification tokens.
What is not deleted
Anonymised, non-identifiable telemetry aggregates (e.g. aggregated feature usage counts that cannot be linked back to you) may be retained for service improvement purposes. These do not contain your personal data.
